Green School Programme

The Green School Programme was established in 2015 to raise students’ awareness of environmental and related sustainable development issues through various activities.

The “Captain Green Scheme” covers school-wide green talks for participating partner schools, and each school selects about 40 student representatives to participate in a green visit. The student representatives are required to complete some assessment tasks and attend a sharing session cum ceremony, before receiving the Captain Green certificate.

Furthermore, a series of environmental activities are launched to all schools, including book, uniform recycling programme, “Go Green, Act Green” upcycling competition, inter-school environmental quiz competition, etc.

The Green Council is grateful to have Shih Wing Ching Foundation as the sponsor of the Green School Programme since 2018.
